WhatsApp recently announced the addition of a host of new voicemail features, including the ability to pause or resume voicemail recordings, waveform viewing, non-chat playback, and more.
Cut to now, the company has added, or rather completely revamped, the camera interface. This new WhatsApp camera interface is visible to users who have installed the Android beta app.
This camera interface is not entirely new to WhatsApp. Notably, it was previously available on iOS for months. It’s just that the new camera interface is going live for Android users, and that too, in beta.
According to the latest report from WABetaInfo, some WhatsApp beta users are seeing the updated camera interface. The new interface includes a whole new look for the media selector.
The WhatsApp camera media bar has not been removed, as was expected during the development of the new interface. The new WhatsApp camera interface and revamped media selector features are already available to WhatsApp beta users, but it remains to be seen when the stable version of the app will get them.
