Screen Innovations Introduces Control4 Zigbee Interface and Data Hub for Smarter Installations

Screen Innovations continues to expand its product portfolio with the introduction of two new accessories designed to simplify the installation and operation of SI motorized blinds and screens. Incorporating a host of advanced technologies, IS C4 The Zigbee interface and 16-port Suite XVI data hub bring unprecedented ease and functionality to shade and screen installations. Affordable, technologically advanced and easy to integrate, these two new devices allow system integrators to easily expand and enhance their screen and shade installations without special tools, training, wiring or complicated programming. Meanwhile, end users benefit from faster deployment and increased control and monitoring of shades and displays in residential and commercial environments. C4 Zigbee and Suite XVI join SI’s other popular problem-solving accessories, including TRO.Y, Janus and Fontus.

“At SI, our mission is to continually push the boundaries of technological innovation – to bring our resellers and end users the smartest, easiest and most beautiful screens and shades available,” says Ryan Gustafson, CEO of SI. “Our new C4 Zigbee and Suite XVI are a direct reflection of this commitment, enabling seamless interoperability of IS shades and displays with Control4 automation systems and plug-and-play integration of up to 16 wired and wireless keypads. SI wire for convenient control of multiple blinds and room dividers.

C4 Zigbee

SI’s C4 Zigbee enables direct, native control and feedback of SI’s 485-powered shades and displays through a Zigbee-enabled Control4 automation system. Any Zigbee 3.0 or non-Zigbee SI shade or screen connected to the small, discrete dongle-like interface instantly joins a Control4 Zigbee mesh network without any additional programming or hardware. Full discovery of shades and screens is done in the Control4 composer software. System integrators can fold IS shades and screens into a unified Control4 ecosystem in record time; end users can control, automate and monitor the status of shades and screens from the same touchscreens, remotes and keypads used to manage other devices connected to Control4. The C4 Zigbee also costs significantly less than the standard gateways traditionally needed to connect blinds and displays to control systems.

Suite XVI

When shade and screen installations require more than half a dozen keypads, integrators have always struggled to find a single 485 data hub with enough ports. SI’s Suite XVI solves this problem with 16 ports to accommodate 485 devices, including keyboards, wireless receivers and additional data hubs. Ideally suited to large residential and commercial projects, or the expansion of existing networks, Suite XVI takes up a fraction of the space of several smaller hubs and costs less. Made of heavy-duty sheet steel and plenum, the hub can be mounted anywhere, inside a rack or panel or above the ceiling.
