Nothing Phone (1) with Glyph interface launched in India

The Nothing Phone 1 is finally here. In India and around the world, it has indeed been officially introduced. While the 8GB RAM/256GB and 12GB RAM/256GB are available at Rs 35,999 and Rs 38,999 respectively. Both configurations will be offered at an introductory price of Rs 34,999 and Rs 37,999. Rs 1,000 discount is only available for customers who have pre-ordered the device.

Pre-order customers who use HDFC bank cards to purchase the Nothing Phone (1) will immediately receive a discount of Rs 2,000. The smartphone will be available in two black and white color options. The handset will be available for purchase through Flipkart in the country from July 21 at 7 p.m.

A 45W Nothing Power charger costs Rs 2,500 for end users and Rs 1,500 for pre-order consumers. The Nothing Ear (1) will cost Rs 6,999, with pre-order customers paying Rs 5,999.

There’s a 6.55-inch 10-bit OLED display on the Nothing Phone 1 with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. The screen features HDR10+, 402PPI and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The chin, which is generally thicker, has equally sized bezels on all four sides of the Nothing phone (1). Pei claims this is made possible by the phone’s flexible OLED panel, a technology only found in a few high-end flagship models. The Nothing(1) phone is built mostly from recycled materials, but Pei points out that the aluminum frame is layered between layers of Gorilla Glass 5, so when handling the phone, you don’t feel any plastic.

Nothing OS, based on Android 12, is pre-installed on the Nothing Phone (1). The phone has a 4500mAh battery that supports both 15W Qi wireless charging and 33W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the fast charger can fully charge the phone in just about an hour.

Additionally, the device is IP53 rated for dust and water resistance. It comes with an in-display fingerprint reader, facial recognition, and dual stereo speakers.
