NHA Invites All Stakeholders to Unite to Develop the Unified Health Interface, Health News, ET HealthWorld

New Delhi: The National Health Authority (NHA) invites open community contributors and developers, especially those working in digital health, to participate, create and contribute to the Unified Health Interface ( UHI). As part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), the NHA had announced the launch of the UHI on January 12, 2022.

UHI is an open network designed to enable the delivery of interoperable digital health services. UHI will be powered by protocols built by an open community of developers and deployed on a gateway built by NHA. Also, in the press release, the adoption of the Decentralized Health Protocol (DHP) as the core protocols of the UHI was announced and developers were invited to join the DHP and contribute to the UHI. . Meanwhile, the internal NHA team has also been working on the same.

A version of the open protocols is available on the Github platform at https://github.com/dhp-project and can be used to build health service applications. Any technology provider currently developing digital health solutions for hospitals, physicians, laboratories or consumers can create innovative new solutions using DHP and become a member of the UHI network.

The NHA reiterates the invitation issued previously and invites all, especially those working in digital health, to join the DHP Open Community hosted on the GitHub platform at https://github.com/dhp-project to further refine existing protocols and create new protocols for use cases not currently part of DHP. The DHP community is open to everyone and is an opportunity to enrich and contribute to the further development of the open protocols that will propel the digital health revolution in India.
