IOUpay deploys a new interface for the myIOU application; Currently serving 61,000 customers

Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) has gained a lot of traction within the fintech industry here in Malaysia as a number of such services have emerged over the past few years. Among them is IOUpay’s myIOU, which was just launched last June but already serves 61,000 users and more than 3,000 merchant partners across Malaysia so far.

IOU Pay today officially unveiled the app’s revamped interface which the company has dubbed the “myIOU 2.0”. That being said, the actual software version as shown on the Google Play and App Store listings is actually v3.00.

The biggest change IOU Pay has made to the app is its home screen which now provides more visibility to myIOU services, merchants and promotions. The described BNPL outfit said that the minimalist design of the new user interface is intended to improve user experience and navigation.

According to Gwen Khor, Head of Marketing at IOU Pay, the unveiling of the new interface is just the start of what the company has planned for myIOU as it looks to expand the service to other markets in Southeast Asia. Is. Although the timeline for the expansion was not revealed today, IOU Pay CFO Kenneth Kuan listed Indonesia and the Philippines as potential markets.

Meanwhile, IOU Pay also organized the myIOU Dream Town showcase at IOI City Mall Putrajaya alongside the launch of the new interface. Until next Sunday, March 20, the showcase allows the public to have a hands-on experience of BNPL powered by myIOU with the help of its retail partners including All IT Hypermart, Brooks and Gintell.
