BMC organizes a public interface – Pragativadi

Bhubaneshwar: Set to complete the 100 days of elected corporators of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), a Public Interface meeting was held today with citizens from Wards 44 and 47.

Mayor Smt. Sulochana Das chaired the meeting in the presence of Dy. Mayor Manjulata Kanhar and Addl. Commissioner Suryawanshi Mayur Vikash.

Following the introduction and objective sharing by the Honorable Mayor and Addl. Commissioner, the pre-44 meeting started at 11 o’clock.

Corporal Ajit Behera was briefed on the status of the neighborhood. Corporal Samita Mohanty of Ward 47 presented the Ward’s offer of status at 12:30 p.m.

Addl.Commissioner reached out to attendees from both neighborhoods to cooperate with recent BMC initiatives such as nighttime sweeping, GPS zeroing and cleaning a 5m radius around every vending machine in the city.

However, participants from both districts thanked BMC for organizing the public interface.

Issues raised were waterlogging, repair and maintenance of parks, repair of existing tube wells, measure against encroachment, slabs over drains, establishment of neighborhood offices, management bodies of water, action against unauthorized sales areas and the management of public lighting.
